The home was built by Hobart Plunkett for newlyweds George and Rose Saleh in 1931. The Saleh family was longtime candy merchants and tobacco merchants in Tyler who are still actively contributing to the community. It is said that this house was one of the first built in Tyler in the Spanish Colonial style. Beautifully renovated in 2008.
